Nick will sing the role of St Nicholas in Britten’s cantata by the same name, as part of a special recreation of the first ever Aldeburgh Festival Concert in 1948. He will be performing with The Britten Pears Chorus, Choristers of St Edmundsbury Cathedral and The Britten Sinfonia, conducted by Jessica Cottis, as part of the 2024 Aldeburgh Festival in its 75th year.
Nick will perform in a staging of Handel’s Messiah, as part of the Urkoyü & Aaria Festival in Espoo, Finland, with The Tapiola Sinfonietta and EMO Ensemble, conducted by Aapo Häkkinen and directed by Aleksi Barrière.
Nick will take part in a special event at the Park Avenue Armory in New York, which sees Bach Cantatas and traditional Spirituals intermingled together in a dramatised call to arms over Climate Change. Nick will be performing with the Oxford Bach Soloists and The Choir of Trinity Wall Street, countertenor Reginald Mobley and Sheng player Wu Tong, all conducted by Tom Hammond-Davies. The event will be staged by celebrated director Peter Sellars.
